“There’s a difference between exercising and training. I see many people trying to lose weight by getting on an elliptical and going at it. While this approach will help your cardiovascular condition, it does very little to burn fat. Training with Eric and his PFT trainers customizes a routine to train your body to burn fat. Human physiology tells us that fat burning occurs when we exercise at around at 66% of our maximum oxygen consumption. The next consideration is making that fat available to your metabolism for energy consumption. This involves mobilizing fat globules and making it available to the powerhouse ( mitochondria) of the cell where energy is produced. This is where the TRAINING comes into play. A combination of muscle resistance training and periodic burst of cardiovascular exercise TRAINS your metabolism to mobilize fat and burn it for energy consumption.

I have been TRAINING with Eric off and on for the last 6 years. The P in Pro Fitness Trainer (PFT) stands for Professional. Eric and his team of trainers know what it takes to accomplish your goals and will design a TRAINING program specifically catered to be effective. Even though I am well versed on the subject of exercise physiology, it takes having a TRAINER to set up my program and keep me moving through my session.
